What is the best structure for me?
It really depends on multiple factors, income, legal responsibility, adaptability, and size of the business. Sole traders tend to specialise in their skill but being one person can only do so much. Also one of the biggest benefits for a limited company is the limited liability to separate your assets from your business.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept various payment methods, including Stripe and bank transfers. We will check on all parts and agree a payment method that suits you once we send an invoice.
How do I get grants or funding?
Grant funding is good to find when you are starting out. Typically, you have to apply for the grant by putting your business plan as well as a pitch in, once that gets processed, they award you the grant. (Read more about grants with our blog)
How much money do I need to start a business?
You may be shocked to believe that you do not need money to start a business. Have a look into Rebel School and a booked called Start your business for less than $100. Despite the $ it still applies to the UK. Read our blog!!
How long does the workshop take?
The business plan workshop is a self-paced business plan creation process. On average, it takes 6 to 8 weeks. Depending on the level of detail, it can be complete in a week up to 3 months.
Do you register charities?
Yes, we register charities; we do this slightly differently and give you more legal contacts and put you in contact with specialists in charity registration.
How long does a trademark take?
If there are no objections by the examiner of your application and no oppositions, your UK trade mark will be registered in around 3 months.
Do I need a business plan?
It is not a requirement to have a business plan. But we would advise you get one, it makes grant applications much easier and provides clarity for where you want your business to go and achieve.
Do you register businesses outside the UK?
No. We do not register businesses or organisations outside the UK. But we can share contacts to help you register outside the UK.
Do I need to register my side hustle?
The short answer is if you are earning under £1000 per year, no. If you are earning over that in any way then yes, you will have to register as self-employed with HMRC.
